On August 7th, a Sanya tourism promotion conference organized by the Sanya government was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to introduce Sanya’s abundant tourism products to local tourism companies, media and tourists.

Representatives from dozens of tourism enterprises in Sanya and Kazakhstan, and more than 30 media in China and Kazakhstan attended the event.

During the conference, the Sanya municipal party secretary Jiang Sixian said that Sanya welcomed a total of more than 12,000 Kazakhstan tourists last year, and the "Tourism Year of China" will be held in Kazakhstan in 2017.

According to the deputy president of the Kazakhstan Tourism Committee, the governments of Kazakhstan and China are expected to unveil a visa-free policy for the tour groups from the other in the near future.
