Sanitation workers pump out rainwater in Sanya Bay Road after Mangkhut
The road section between Sanya Bay and Yingbin Road was drenched in rainwater and mud after the 10th tropical storm Mangkhut on August 7th.
All the surface water and mud on the Road was finally pumped into the sea by Sanitation workers using eight water pumps.
After the completion of the sewage treatment plant at the New City of Sanya Bay, construction on which started on October 30, 2012 and is expected to be completed by the end of this year, the overall sewage treatment capacity of the Sanya Bay area will improve and achieve rain and sewage separation to ensure that the rainwater and wastewater will not flow directly into the sea.
