Tourists warned to beware of swimming in Dadonghai sea after typhoon
At noon on August 4th, 4 lifeguards on Dadonghai Beach were beaten by several tourists after having tried to persuade them not to swim in the Dadonghai sea area after the typhoon.
The involved tourists admitted their mistakes and apologized, in addition to paying the medical expenses of the lifeguards who were beaten on Dadonghai Beach on August 4th.
Sanya Tourism Development Committee has urged the public not to behave in an uncivilized manner, and said that the winds are always stronger and waves higher in the Dadonghai sea area after typhoons, which makes it extremely dangerous for tourists to swim then.
Lifeguards on Dadonghai Beach have rescued over 300 drowning tourists since last July, according to the Dadonghai management company.
