The consul-general of the Consulate General of Japan In Guangzhou, Cito Koich, visited Sanya and met Gu Jingqi, the deputy mayor of Sanya on 25th July.

Cito Koich previously visited Sanya in 1986. His trip on July 25th marks his first official visit to Sanya since he assumed office. Cito Koich said he was impressed by Sanya’s rapid development and expressed hopes for deepened ties with the city.

Gu Jingqi extended a warm welcome to Cito Koich and introduced Sanya’s social and economic developments in recent years. He went on to express his hopes that the Consulate General of Japan In Guangzhou would put links to Sanya’s tourism websites on its official website to promote Sanya to more Japanese holiday-makers.
