In the second quarter of 2013, excellent and good air quality in Sanya was reported again, 100% of the time, according to figures released by the Sanya Environmental Protection Bureau on July 16th.

According to monitoring data, the daily average levels of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and inhalable participates (PM10) in Sanya’s air all met the primary standard of the national environment air quality standards (GB3095-2012) in the second quarter of the year.

Besides, the water quality of the urban centralized drinking water sources achieved water standard Level II which also meets regulatory requirements.

The sea water quality of 7 major coastal tourism sea areas, including Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, the Dadonghai area, Sanya Bay, the Tianyahaijiao area, Wuzhizhou Island and West Island all reached marine water standard level I.
