The General Plan for building Sanya Phoenix Town (between 2011-2020) was recently approved by experts.

Phoenix Town will be built into a 'backyard garden' of Sanya by greatly developing its leisure tourism, modern tropical agriculture and service industry over the next decade.

Besides this, Phoenix Town will take full advantage of the natural resources in Nandao District, Binglanghe River and Shuijiao Hot Spring to develop diversified leisure tourism including rural tourism, farm tourism and tropical agriculture and rainforest sightseeing tourism.

Located close to Sanya’s city center, Phoenix Town will be the second largest town in Sanya, covering a land area of 487 square kilometers.
