Authorities in Sanya on Wednesday said they will release including the stricter PM2.5 index in air quality readings by the end of this October.

The city’s two air quality monitoring stations will be set up in Hexi District and Hedong District and data release from the stations contains the 6 National Ambient Air Quality Standard pollutants including sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide, ozone density and larger particles.

The data measurements will be released hourly instead of the daily average so that the public can know the city’s air condition for accuracy.

Besides, 3 more monitoring stations will be established in Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay and Creativity New City in Yacheng Town, among which the station in Haitang Bay is expected to put into use by the end of this year.
