The Sanya Marine Bureau and Weather Forecast Station recently signed a cooperation agreement to promote Sanya's weather information services system.

According to the agreement, the real-time weather information provided by the weather forecast station will be sent out to electronic screens at scenic spots to inform visitors of the weather in the coming hours and days while they're out enjoying themselves.

The system also targets fishing boats, sending out emergency messages to mobile phones, including rescue workers who specialize in assisting in cases of flooding and sea-rescue, to help tackle emergencies.

The marine bureau will also help build a marine meteorological observatory in order to improve the accuracy of weather monitoring and forecasting in coastal areas.
