A CHINESE man has been charged with murder after allegedly killing his girlfriend and taking her body on a road trip to fulfil her wish to travel.

Police have accused the Guangdong man, identified only by his surname, Pan, of impulsively murdering his girlfriend in May after the couple had an argument, according to the South China Morning Post.

Pan is then said to have driven the body from Guangdong to the neighbouring Fujian province, where he stopped in the cities of Xiamen and Fuzhou, in order to fulfil her apparent desire to see more of the world.

Pan reportedly dumped her body and the car at Fuzhou airport, before hopping a plane to Shanghai.

He was arrested in Sanya, Hainan, about a week later.
