China’s largest seaside yacht show to be held in Sanya in November
"Mare di Sanya" is an annual extravaganza consisting of activities such as The 5th Hainan International Yachting and High-end Lifestyle Show, The World Yachting Forum and Yachting Models International, representing a concentration of high-end lifestyles unanimously recognized by China’s industrial sponsors, exhibitors, visitors and media. This year, the event will be graced by activities such as Italian Way to present an unprecedented feast to guests from around the world.
According to the 2012 Research Report on Chinese Luxury Market released by the international professional consulting agency Bain & Company in late 2012, Chinese people have become the world’s largest luxury consumer group, making up 25 percent of the world’s total luxury purchase volume. In terms of yacht consumption, Fortune Character predicted that the Chinese luxury yacht market would grow some 20 percent in 2013, maintain an annual growth of 40 percent or higher and reach a scale of over 4 billion yuan in the coming five years. Recent years have seen the birth of dozens of yacht shows in China, among which "Mare di Sanya" is the biggest seaside yacht consumer show in terms of exhibition area. The four-day 2012 edition of the event hosted 10,843 visitors, and grossed a turnover/intended turnover of 480 million yuan, thus outshining other Chinese yacht consumer shows. "Mare di Sanya" has become an annual high-end gathering for the rich in China.
With an expected total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, a land exhibition area of 20,000 square meters and 300 berths, "Mare di Sanya 2013" will showcase brands of yachts and luxury yachts, yacht-related equipment, top personal belongings, aquatic sports products and international high-end property, as well as feature "Italian Way", a newly introduced exhibition organized by Unione Nazionale di Imprese (UNIMPRESA), one of Italy’s largest business associations. During "Mare di Sanya 2013", in a 4,000-square-meter zone, UNIMPRESA’s members will put on display top Italian luxuries in fields such as apparel & footwear, jewelry, home design and tour operation for Chinese visitors. UNIMPRESA’s chief representative Andrew said this is UNIMPRESA’s first time to massively showcase the real European top Italian culture in Asia, expecting much of Italian brands in China.
Besides the exhibition session, "Mare di Sanya" also involves activities such as Yachting Models International, The China Equity Investment Summit and a golf tournament. According to Ren Xing, planner of "Mare di Sanya", the event will create a superb demonstration platform for domestic and overseas yacht and luxury brands, and an opportunity for domestic potential consumers to appreciate and experience high-end lifestyles at close range.
