The 2014 8th Haikou Hot Air Balloon Festival and the H1 Hot Air Balloon Challenge kicked off in Haikou at 8:00pm of June 13th, 2014 at the Haikou’s Evergreen Park, attracting 30 top hot air ballooning teams from across the country.

Among the 30 participating teams in the festival, 15 will enter the H1 Hot Air Balloon Challenge to fly in style across the Qiongzhou Strait to rewrite the event’s record for the 6th time in history on June 16th.

During the 4-day event, a number of interesting and exciting activities are being held, including a hot air balloon flying experience tour for local citizens and tourists.
