The transaction area of commercial residential properties in Sanya stood at 58,000 square meters in May, a drop of 14.2% month on month, according to the Sanya Statistics Bureau.

In the first five months, the transaction area of commercial residential properties surged 79.8% month-on-month to 593,100 square meters. However, the transaction areas have seen declines month-on-month.

Among them, the transaction areas were 302,100 square meters in Jan-Feb and the rest months were 154,800, 78,200 and 58,000 square meters respectively.

Compared with the monthly drops in housing transaction area, the investment in fixed assets saw an increase in May, up 11.5% to 4.039 billion yuan over that in May.
