From June 19th, an all-in-one card is to start trial operation on buses for half a month and a total of 3,000 cards will be provided during the period.

The government plans to issue 300,000 cards when the scheme is fully rolled out. At that time, Sanya residents will be able to purchase and recharge the cards at 5 locations including the Mingzhu Square and Nongken Hospital.

The cost for the card is set at 20 yuan, but senior citizens’ cards can be purchased for just 15 yuan.

According to the card design company, the all-in-one cards are now limited to buses. However, the card will achieve its multi-purpose social use, allowing cardholders to complete a variety of small purchases such as movie tickets and newspaper delivery subscriptions.

Meanwhile, Sanya will establish a cooperation relationship with more than 30 other mainland cities to further promote the use of its cards in these regions.
