Sanya cracks down on illegal ads of ‘one-day tour’
In order to regulate Sanya tourist market, the Sanya authorities have launched a special campaign to crackdown on false and misleading advertising of “one-day tours” around the city since the spring festival.
The special campaign focused around Dadonghai Square, Summer Mall, Haiyue Square, Mingzhu Square, Pedestrian Street, Duty-free Store and No.1 Market.
The authorities recently seized 2,930 false travel advertising leaflets and detained 8 people violated of spreading false advertising of "one-day tour” in the crackdown.
Tourists visiting Sanya should beware of these “one-day tour” leaflets, and make sure to choose travel agencies with a business certificate.
