Recently, new garbage bins, which replaced the old ones, have been placed on Hedong Road, Sanya with clear collection function for wider waste management.

The new garbage bins have a special function where smokers can put out their cigarettes at a designated location before throwing it into a bin.

The new bins also have enlarged the scale of waste sorting by placing separate labels for recyclables, non-recyclables as well as waste batteries.

A sanitation worker at Hedong Road said the new method of garbage management will make his job easier as residents can separate waste themselves by following the signs.
