The president of the World Bridge Federation Mr Gianarrigo Rona remarked that China is one of the dominant nations in Bridge, and Sanya has more advantages over other cities to hold the 2014 World Bridge Series Championships.

Mr Rona expressed his appreciation for Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay, Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay, MGM Grand Sanya and Sheraton Sanya Resort, and added that both hotel rooms and conference rooms are luxurious and comfortable.

He also said that Sanya will be expected to welcome nearly 2,000 players from all over the world as well as their families and friends at the 2014 World Bridge Series Championships.

The World Bridge Series Championships was first held in 1962, and so far it has always been held in Europe or America.
