Short-distance tour packages around Sanya have proven popular during the Duanwu Festival, according to local travel agencies.

 

A local travel agency said many travelers from Sanya were sticking close to home, visiting nearby cities or the coast rather than venturing further afield.

 

In response to the shorter holiday, travel agents have developed one-day-tour business to these surrounding attractions, among which are the Rainforest Canyon Drift in Wuzhishan City and Jianfengling National Park in Ledong County. 

 

Besides, with the approaching of summer holiday, some long-haul tours and overseas tour are becoming a hit. Popular destinations include Beijing, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
