From Jan 13th to 20th, 2011, Haikou Customs officers had successfully prevented several attempts of importing counterfeit name-brand items into Hainan, reports hntqb.com.

 

The law enforcement officers confiscated 89 counterfeit items of clothes, Jewelry, watches and shoes, bearing the trademarks of GUCCI, CHANEL, ADIDAS and CK.

 

The counterfeit items were all uncovered from expatriates travelling or living in Hainan.

 

According to Haikou Customs, passengers carrying items beyond the limited quantities and violating the law of protection of intellectual property rights will be subject to punishment. Meanwhile, serious cases will be sent to the public security department.
