Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay to be star rated again
After a series of significant improvements, the Howard Johnson Resort Sanya Bay has been deemed ready to be star rated once again.
In August 2012, the hotel was stripped of its 5-star rating by the National Tourism Star-Grade Hotel Assessment Commission due to a food poisoning case that affected over 120 hotel guests.
To restore its public image, the hotel has undergone extensive upgrading in order to meet the needs of its discerning guests.
The hotel has also set up a comprehensive mechanism to control food safety and upgraded the kitchen and related facilities.
In addition, the hotel staff have been trained in food safety and have a better understanding of the hotel service standards to help regain the previous starred status.
