An overseas foreign media delegation on Wednesday visited Phoenix Island, Yalong Bay and gathered information about the government’s tourism projects in the city.

The delegation of over 40 representatives from Russia, Spain, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan and Venezuela were invited to attend the activity of the International Tourism Island Promotion for Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Provincial Tourism Commission.  
 
After visiting the Phoenix Island, a journalist from the Itar Tass News Agency said great changes have taken place in Sanya since he first visited the city four years ago. He vowed to convey the changes to the Russian public and increase media coverage on Sanya.

Besides, the delegation will visit some well-known scenic regions and spots in Haikou, including Chengmai, Qionghai, Ding’an and more, experience the achievements during Hainan’s International Tourism Island construction, and appreciate the unique charm of cultures of minorities in Hainan and the wonderful ecological environments and beautiful tropical scenery.
