On the afternoon of May 17th, a Sanya delegation led by the director of the Sanya Publicity Department Sun Su visited the Rose Coast wedding base in Shengzhen city, which was one of the venues of the 9th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).

The Rose Coast wedding base has been the venue of the International Cultural Industries Fair for four consecutive years, and received 120,000 newlywed couples and 400,000 tourists in 2012.

Sanya, as a tropical tourism city, has spectacular tropical seascapes all year round, beautiful natural ecosystems and environments, a huge number of romantic scenic spots and a wide variety of wedding products, and thanks to these things the Sanya wedding tourism market has enjoyed rapid growth since 2010. The total consumption relating to wedding photography, group and individual as well as honeymoon expenses hit 100 million yuan in 2011.

However, one member of the delegation said that Sanya should learn from Shenzhen's experiences in providing more supporting services for the wedding market which would speed up further the progress of the wedding industry in Sanya.
