Tourists travelling in Sanya are being warned to avoid visiting Queen Bay, which has been declared an unlicensed scenic spot.

The warning came earlier this year after the Sanya Queen Bay Outdoor Club, which previously offered outdoor activities around Queen Bay, was suspended due to its incomplete certificates last November.

However, many illegal tour operators still have Queen Bay on their one-day tours and continue to send tourists to the bay in spite of the authorities’ notifications.

According to Sanya Tourism Development Commission, Queen Bay has not been authorized as a qualified tourist attraction by relevant authorities and people are urged to be careful when choosing one-day tours.
