Blu Inc Media was an integral partner of the Second Annual Sinan Cup 2013 in Yalong Bay Marina. As Official Media Partner of the Event, Blu Inc Media organised an exclusive cocktail party for boat owners and sponsored a sailing yacht to compete in the regatta.
 
The Sinan Cup attracts China's top yacht owners in an intense, four-day regatta held annually. Aiming to rejuvenate Chinese ancient sailing culture, the Sinan Cup brings together China's most influential business leaders and entrepreneurs in Hainan, China's premiere sailing region. Sinan, an instrument invented in China during the Warring States Period, is the earliest application of the compass in human history. This year's Sinan Cup took sailors on a unique journey to the Paracel Islands.
 
Over 60 yacht owners throughout China participated in the 2nd Annual Sinan Cup under the leadership of the regatta's four founders: Mr. Feng Hui, Mr. Wu Yi, Mr. Ge Weidong and Mr. Chen Weijing. “Sinan Cup has become one of the largest sailing events in China, with more than 35 yacht teams from mainland China and five from Hong Kong, which demonstrates the rapid growth of China's yachting industry,” said Feng Hui .
 
For both in-shore and off-shore races, boat owners organised their own teams to navigate their yachts amid the windy four-day competition. Blu Inc Media sponsored its own yacht – Team China Boating. Blu Inc Media Managing Director David Turchetti, who was aboard the China Boating yacht for in-shore racing, said “On behalf of Team China Boating, I would like to thank Feng Hui and all the Sinan Cup founders for spearheading another successful edition of this exciting regatta. The event was well executed and fun for everyone involved. We look forward to supporting the regatta as it expands further in coming years.”
 
In addition to sailing, a wide range of cultural activities took place during the regatta including an opening ceremony, gala dinner and closing awards. Blu Inc Media organised an exclusive welcome cocktail party for boat owners and other VIPs at the St. Regis Hotel. “Sinan Cup is the first and by far the only regatta in China dedicated exclusively to Chinese boat owners. For two years, China Boating has been the proud official media partner of this event, with our highly anticpated annual Boat Owners Cocktail Party now an event highlight. We look forward to supporting Sinan Cup again next year,” said Wang Xinlei, Editor-in-Chief of China Boating.
 
The organisers of the 2nd Annual Sinan Cup China Regatta donated registration fees to a Blue Ocean Protection Association, which raises awareness of environmental and ocean protection in China.
