A coral hall at the Boundary Islet, the largest of its kind in China, opened to the public on April 27 in Linshui County, Hainan Province.

Covering an area of 1,200 square meters, the hall is divided into two floors, which can hold over 1,000 visitors.

In the hall, visitors can observe various kinds of colorful coral growing freely in the water. Over 10,000 pieces of living coral and specimen representing 120 species are on display.

In future, the coral hall will be built into a multi-functional modern hall, which can serve as display center of coral specimens and as an educational base for research on the biodiversity of marine animals and popularization of marine culture.

The coral hall will be another attraction in Hainan featuring lots of marine creatures on display.
