To avoid the overcharging and customer-cheating in the tourism market for the upcoming May Day holiday, Sanya is intensifying its efforts to regulate the tourism market starting from April 26th to May 2nd, 2013.

The checks mainly target the hotels, seafood restaurants and stalls, the catering sector, scenic spots and diving sites.

Hotels, scenic spots and seafood stalls are required to follow the government pricing regulation to prevent any illegal price hikes during public holidays.

The authorities will crack down on the illegal travel agent operators for day tours to protect tourist's legitimate rights and interests which disrupt the individual tour market.
