Led by Sanya’s Vice Mayor Gu Jingqi, the Sanya tourism delegation attended the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair 2013 (KITF Almaty 2013), which was held on April 24th-26th in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan.

The Sanya exhibition area, covering an area of 80 square meters, showing travel partners vivid pictures of its unique tropical flavors, is just one of the popular booths at the fair. Major overseas tour operators are showing great interest in establishing business ties with Sanya travel agents.

Kitf in Almaty is one of the largest trade shows for travel and tourism in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region, an important meeting place for the industry and a very good opportunity to network with colleagues and customers. Since 2009, Sanya has set up their own booth at the fair for 4 consecutive years.

Currently, there is one flight that operates on every 12 or 10 days a month from Sanya to Almaty and Astana respectively, both carrying 235 passengers, which is a great convenience for tourists from Kazakhstan and Sanya’s other neighboring countries.

With the launch of the charter flight between Almaty and Sanya, over 25,000 passengers are expected to be transported to Sanya by the end of 2013.
