Currently, scenic spots are required to offer a 20% discount with ticket prices over 100 yuan, 15% for between 50 yuan to 100 yuan and 10% between 30% yuan to 50% yuan.
5A national level scenic spots such as the Sanya Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, Sanya Dongtian Park and Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone are included in the 22 scenic spots.
At the same time, most hotels on the island are offering rooms at lower rates to attract customers during the off-season. Some guestrooms in The MGM Grand Sanya have been lowered to 800 yuan per night. Other cities like Haikou, Wanning and Qionghai have also seen obvious declines in hotel room rates.
