Two-vessel PLA fleet returns to Sanya after high-sea training mission
A two-vessel fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy returned to Sanya on Saturday after completing an 11-day high-sea training mission on the western Pacific Ocean.
Missile destroyer Lanzhou and missile frigate Hengshui, both from the navy's Nanhai Fleet, set off from south China's Sanya City on April 10, and sailed through the South China Sea, the western Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea.
During the journey that covered a total of around 3,000 nautical miles, the fleet conducted training sessions on maritime offense and defense, law enforcement, supply and sea bombardments.
