Starting from April 15, Sanya’s two e-bike registration offices at Hexi and Hedong districts began issuing e-bike licenses from 8:00am until 5:30pm and 4:00pm respectively.

To apply for licenses for their e-bikes, the applicants are required to yield to a safety inspection of their vehicles and provide 3 relevant certification documents including an identity certificate of e-bike ownership, proof of the place of manufacture and a quality certificate of the e-bike.

To ensure road traffic safety, Sanya’s traffic police department said that they will continue to increase efforts to investigate and punish the law and regulation violations of e-bikes and motorbikes.
