Recently, the entrance fee for many domestic tourist attractions has been continually rising, while Sanya scenic spots promise not to raise ticket prices and will offer a large number of preferential measures during the May Day holidays.

The Secretary-General of Sanya Tourism Association Xie Xiang said that Sanya, in its efforts to eliminate ticket-site-earned economy, has promoted many new tourism products including marine tourism, forest tourism, cultural tourism, shopping tourism and cruise and yacht tourism.

Mr.Xie also said that the Sanya government is constructing a batch of tourist resorts and key tourism projects including Haitang Bay National Coast and Yalong Bay Rose theme park.

Besides, Sanya Price Bureau published pricing regulations on standard rooms in 267 tourist hotels during the 2013 Spring Festival, which made Sanya the most popular tourist city during the festival.
 
For the upcoming May Day holidays, the Sanya government will increase its efforts to monitor the tourism market in an attempt to prevent any unreasonable price hikes that could further burden consumers.
