On the evening of April 11, the 2013 Sanyuesan Festival, the largest traditional festival of the Li and Miao minorities in Hainan, kicked off at Sanya Dadonghai plaza.

The celebration party consisted of three themed chapters and each chapter included a Li ethnic song and dance performance.

In addition, the Minority intangible cultural heritage exhibition and traditional ethnic sports competitions were held at Dadonghai Plaza on April 12.

The Li minority’s spinning, dyeing, brocade and embroidery techniques, Miao minority’s embroidery and batik techniques and many other intangible cultural heritage treasures of Hainan province were displayed at the event, and seven traditional ethnic fun sports competitions were held on the day.
