According to the Sanya Price Bureau, a proposal regarding the price adjustment of bus fares has been approved by the government and the basic bus fare will be increased to 2 yuan.

The specific time for the new implementation has not been confirmed yet and the government will further discuss on how to operate the bus fare issue. The final detailed plan will be released to the pubic in due course.

The government has said they will carry out some preferential measures like promoting the use of the bus IC cards for public transportation, which will cost less than normal tickets.
