On April 9th the Sanya government met with Taiwan's delegation for the 2013 BFA at Sanya’s Serenity Marina, and the leader Frederick F. Chien, who is the honorary chairman of the Taiwan-based Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation.

Sanya’s party secretary Jiang Sixian warmly welcomed the delegation and explained the development of Sanya’s economy and society, and the construction of international tropical tourism island, such as the Yalong Bay national tourism resort and Haitang Bay national coast. He also expressed his desire to promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.

Mr.Jiang said that Boao Forum has a total of 191 members, and only 42 of them are diamond permanent members, and the Taiwan-based Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation is amongst them.

In the afternoon of that day, the delegation also visited Sanya’s Taiwan Xintiandi Shopping Center at Sanya’s Serenity Marina.
