Sanya’s, and the rest of mainland China, tourism industry is expected to be greatly boosted by the Global Travel & Tourism Summit in 2014, which is the most prestigious gathering of Travel & Tourism leaders in the world.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) reported in London last September, that the Hainan province of China will become one of the world's top tourist destinations by 2021, and the contribution of tourism industry to Hainan economy will increase by nearly 13%.
