Tourists will have a good reason to visit Sanya this April as the city has prepared several international cultural and sports events to drive up the visitor numbers in the off-season.

Major upcoming events this month which Sanya is focusing on include UIM Class1 from March 28-30 and the annual luxury lifestyle show Hainan Rendez-Vous, which is scheduled from March 30 to April 2 at Sanya Visun Yacht Club.

In the last two years, the local government has been paying more attention to adjusting their marketing tourism strategies aiming at introducing it as an attractive tourist city throughout the year.

Besides, local hotels, travel agents and airlines are also being urged to take an active role in the move to attract more tourists to the city.

According to the Sanya government, successful events organization not only gives the city great experience that will be useful when handling similar kinds of events but also enhances Sanya’s international tourism image, while attracting people to the city in the off season.
