According to the Sanya government, a total of 1,350 acres of land will be added to that already set aside for roses and orchids in 2013 to support the development of the flower industry in the city.

The government will make use of the buzz generated by the orchid and rose shows last year to promote floral cultivation in countries, and will pour 13 million yuan into the flower industry to add 1,000 acres of roses and 350 acres of orchids.

Moreover, more flower leisure tourism areas will be established and opened to the public, for example Hubaolin Sports Forest Park which is scheduled to be constructed for the sustainable development of forest tourism.
