'Greening Hainan’ is an important strategy to accelerate the development of the international tourism island, and the Sanya Government is planning to invest 387 million yuan to support the city’s greening projects in 2013.

In 2012, the Sanya government invested a total of 740 million yuan in urban greening projects and increased efforts to improve the city’s landscaping projects by creating 30,500 acres of afforested areas.

This year, the government plans to build 25,000 acres of afforested areas and focus on the greening project of Hainan West and East Ring highways, the Sanya ring expressway, national highway and provincial highway.
