Sanya makes great efforts to improve urban management
In recent years, the Sanya government has come up with many measures to improve its urban management in order to better serve both residents and tourists.
Before the 2013 Spring Festival, in order to reduce the difficulty of catching a taxi in the downtown, the government launched a new radio taxi service. 100 taxis which are stationed at six fixed spots can be booked by calling the service hotline“96789”.
To further ease the city's traffic pressures, 416 more taxis are expected to be added in 2013.
To better regulate the hotel market, Sanya Price Bureau publishes pricing regulations for Sanya hotels during the three week-long holidays at Spring Festival, May Day and National Day.
As for the seafood market, seafood restaurants in Sanya are required to use the city’s price supervision system including an electronic dish-ordering system, price publication screen and POS accounting system.
During the 2013 spring festival holiday, Sanya’s seafood market won high praise from customers in consumer-satisfaction surveys.
In addition, the Sanya government is planning to launch an all-in-one-card which can be used to pay bus fares, electricity and gas bills, hotel bills and buy scenic spot tickets. And the Sanya all-in-one-cards are to be made available in over 30 cities around China in 2013.
