Sanya Maritime Rescue Center recruits 1st batch of 46 volunteers
In order to strengthen its marine emergency rescue forces, Sanya Maritime Search & Rescue Center recruited its first batch of 46 volunteers to support maritime search and rescue efforts on March 8.
The 46 volunteers mainly consist of captains, sailors and lifeguards. Besides, commercial fishermen are also being encouraged to use their vessels to assist the Maritime Search & Rescue Center.
With the Sanya government's strong support, Sanya Maritime Search & Rescue Center plans to set up a special fund to reward the outstanding social forces by the end of the year or after a large-scale rescue activity.
