It was announced on March 7 that, Sanya Phoenix International Airport received a total of 13,061 flights and about 2 million passengers during the spring festival holiday, up 6.5% and 10.64% respectively compared to last Spring Festival.

During the 40-day holiday travel peak, the period from Jan.26 to March 6, the airport added many services such as opening all the airport check-in counters to accommodate the increased number of passengers during the peak season.
