Recently, Sanya’s traffic police department issued temporary regulations for the management of e-bikes, which will come into force on April 1st.

Starting from March 15, e-bike owners can go to one of two registration offices, one of which is located at the former Children’s Park beside Xinfeng Bridge and the other next to Yangguang Building in Yinbing Road, to apply for licenses for their e-bikes.

At the same time as applying to register their e-bikes, the applicants are required to yield to a safety inspection of their vehicles and provide 3 relevant certification documents including the identity certificate of e-bike ownership, proof of the place of manufacture and a quality certificate of the e-bike.

Moreover, e-bikes bought before April 1st must be registered within 90 days, and those bought later must be within 30 days of the date of purchase.
