According to Sanya Price Control Bureau, the Sanya government will regulate and release hotel room rates ahead of time for major event occasions and holiday periods, and this year’s May Day holiday is no exception.

The rates of various types of hotel rooms for the upcoming May Day holiday must be reduced by no less than 10% of the rates in the same period of 2012.

As for newly expanded or opened hotels, room rates will be assessed based on the average rates at similar hotels in the same region during the holidays.

All levels of hotel in the city are required to submit their detailed hotel room rates to the local price control bureau before March 15, 2013 and publicize the room rates in a prominent and clearly visible location in the hotel before April 20.
