Sanya plans to provide financial subsidies to homeport cruises
The Sanya government is planning to provide financial subsidies to cruise companies which use Sanya as a homeport to open their international cruise routes.
During the 7-day Spring Festival holiday earlier this month, Sanya saw a total of 14 cruise ships call at the port.
According to the proposal, cruise companies which operate cruise liners with Sanya as their homeport for a year, will receive a subsidy of 50,000 yuan for each voyage.
In addition, cruise liners which make Sanya port homeport for more than 3 months will be given a subsidy of 30,000 for each voyage.
The proposal aims at attracting more international cruise liners to boost the cruise industry development of Sanya.
