The Sanya government is planning to make a few adjustments to financial subsidies for airlines this year to encourage them to open more flight routes during the summer and autumn schedule.

The proposal states that a subsidy of 16,000 yuan will be available for flights on new routes run by domestic airlines companies for each landing and take-off.

Meanwhile, domestic flights that are currently running will receive a subsidy of 10,000 yuan for additional flights added over the previous month’s on the condition that discounted air tickets make-up a certain amount of the total ticket sales.

Besides, subsidies for flights of international airlines companies will remain unchanged.

Each newly registered international large aircraft which has over 150 seats will receive a subsidy of 3 million yuan.

The government also plans to allocate 10 million yuan for upgrades to the airport’s facilities
