Sanya launches crackdown on illegal operations in Haipo Food Street

On February 20, Sanya launched a strict crackdown on fruit stands which were ripping off customers on Haipo Food Street in Phoenix Town, Sanya Bay.

All of the fruit stands, which put the tables and chairs on both sides of the street causing bad traffic jams, have been banned and banished, and the industrial and commercial authorities have conducted an inspection on the operators’ electronic scales to crack down on vendors ripping off tourists by shorting the weight of fruit products.

The Deputy Director of Sanya Commerce Bureau Mr.Feng said that a long time ago they designated a single qualified electronic scale and all seafood and fruit operators were required to use it.
