Property development in Sanya has been showing positive signs, with sales rebounding during the Spring Festival.

Statistics from the local real estate bureau showed that a total of 354 sets of residential houses were sold from February 9-15, 2013, accounting for nearly 90% of the total number in Hainan.

In January 2013, the transaction sales of Sanya commercial residential houses rose to 107.56% of last December’s figure. However, the average property price declined by 19.27% month-on-month.

Though the local government has launched measures to limit the number of homes a family can purchase in Sanya, the demand for restorative winter holidays and property developers’ promotional activities have attracted a growing number of home buyers.
