During the week-long holiday period, many tourists in Sanya chose marine tourism activities, such as yachting, motor boating, diving and leisure fishing.

From February 9 to 12, the total number of cruises called at Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal reached 8, transporting a total of 6,739 inbound and outbound passengers, up 22.37% from the same period of last year.

According to officials of the Haikou Customs Department, Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal has become the third international cruise departure port of China. With an 8-tonnage cruise berth, Sanya Port has become an important homeport for cruise liners from the Royal Caribbean and Star Cruises operators.
