According to a recent list released by the China Tourism Academy and Ctrip.com, a leading travel portal in China, Xiamen ranked 4th amongst the top 10 best tourist destinations in China last year.

Sanya came out top nationwide on the list, followed by Lijiang, Beijing, Xiamen, Guilin, Hangzhou, Jiuzhaigou, Shanghai, Chengdu and Qingdao.

Meanwhile, Xiamen also made the list of China’s 12 best coastal tourist cities in the “2013 Marine Tourism of Beautiful China” list released by the China National Tourism Administration earlier this month.
