Sanya will this year promote itself as a tourist destination in major foreign tourist source countries such as Russia, South Korea, Germany, the United States and Australia to enlarge the overseas tourism market, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Committee.

This March, the Sanya tourism authority will send a tourism delegation to attend the ITB, the world’s largest travel and tourism exhibition which will be held in Berlin, which will then head for Austria and the Czech Republic for more tourism promotion.

Russia has always been the largest tourist source market of Sanya. This year, Sanya is planning to continue its tourism promotion by attending the Moscow International Exhibition Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) to be held in March in Moscow, and the Moscow Autumn International Leisure Tourism Exhibition to be held in September.

Meanwhile, the government will push to increase tourism promotion in order to increase further its tourism from South Korea by distributing promotional materials, playing promotional films and holding interactive activities.

In addition, the government will invite international travel agents as well as journalist delegations from Russia, South Korea, Germany, Italy and New Zealand to visit Sanya.
