Sanya makes efforts to regulate cruise tour market
To better regulate the cruise tour market, Sanya will enforce the government’s price intervention rules starting from this month.
Operators are required to provide the benchmark prices for cruise tour services and sightseeing ships to get approval from the local price control bureau. According to the rules, the concrete prices are not allowed to rise by more than 20 percent from the benchmark prices recorded with the bureau.
At present, 9 companies, whose benchmark prices have already been approved by Sanya Price Bureau, have implemented the government-guided prices.
The department will supervise the implementation of the government-guided prices, and punish companies which violate the measures, who will be investigated and punished according to relevant punishment regulations.
